I paint as a language that conveys every experience we have as humans here on the earth, as reflections of the image of Divine beauty. The dramatic lighting, atmospheric settings and use of the figure are echoes of the Romantic era, yet my subject matter is taken from life today. The emotions I portray through my art, whether sweeping and obvious or delicately hinted, reach across generations as arresting and recognizable to the viewer, no matter who they are. My hope is to reach my viewer in order to evoke a more beautiful way of seeing the world.
